My primary passion outside of work is film photography. I've spent several years shooting 35mm film with a couple of different cameras. I particularly enjoy the slower and more methodical process of composing pictures this way, and I've learned a great deal about the fundamental principles of photography. It's become a bit more difficult to do in recent years as the costs involved in shooting film have shot up steeply. I've started developing and scanning my film after shooting in the last year or so, which has added new layers to the process and deepened the level of relaxation I can get from doing it in my own free time.
